6th Joke - Video/Action for Rocket Base

[Harley's looking sort of sad for once. Sitting on the edge of her bed in the Goldenrod Rocket lodgings, holding a baby Mareep in her lap. Her hair is pretty frizzed out, so it's pretty clear she hasn't quite sorted out the whole static issue that comes with the electric sheep.]

So I guess ya ain't allowed to keep more'n six Pokemon with ya at a time.

[This is very serious matter, obviously.]

I just wanted t' ask everyone, like the people that've been here a long time. How d'ya decide which ones to keep with you and which t'put in the computer?

It really sucks, yeah.

With mine, I draw straws every day, when we're not on the road. It's the only fair way to do it that I've found, anyway.

[well that, and his Clefairy and Absol are always out because they've expressed their desire to stay with him, but.]

Yeah, it really kind of sucks. And it gets even harder to decide when you get more of them. But luckily, when you're staying in a town, you can switch them out as much as you like!

[Luke's on his way past to his own room--but Harley's door is open, and her comment makes its way to his ears. Instantly he pauses, peeking in on her, utterly ignoring her watery expression. She's liable to notice that he's wearing a shirt that seems about...six or so inches too short.]

You can only have six? Why six?

I just keep whoever I'm training at the time, not to mention I always keep my starter with me. It just wouldn't feel right without her. I try to train them all equally, but I guess newer pokemon and lower level pokemon probably get more attention sometimes.

[Then she realizes something and adds on sheepishly.]

I've only been here a couple of months though.

It's really hard to choose, right? I try to switch them from time to time so no one sits in the box for too long.

You can keep more than six pokemon on you if you own personal property. In my apartment, I let all of my pokemon out. But, that's probably because I have a PC in there too. For some reason though, you can't really leave the premises with more than six. It's like some mysterious force blocks you!

[ Rangiku smiles as she talks to Harley again! The buds of a new friendship do call for more interaction. ]

It's really hard to decide. I usually keep my first six with me for battles, but I take all of mine out to spend time with them when I'm in pokémon center.

Maybe the limit is to keep the balance of power.

They've always seemed okay with it. Can't say I'm completely convinced - I mean, it's gotta get lonely in there, right? But it's not like there's anything that can be done about it...

[Don't mind the bimbo, Harley, he just likes showing off his six-pack.]

Mmm...yeah. But none of them seem to mind it too much. Wherever they're sent, it seems to be a pretty okay place. Because they're always just as friendly when you take them back out! Even if you end up leaving them in there for a while.

I like to think that they get to spend time together though. Like with all the other ones you've caught and had to put in the box.

[He has absolutely no idea if this is true, and it probably isn't...but it's a nice thought.]

If it's already been that long and you didn't know it, at least that means you're comfortable here?
